Reason for being involved in workshop: Tech benefits from the opinion of everyone.
Reason for being involved in workshop: I started speaking a couple years ago, and have found that the greatest asset to new speakers is mentorship, even if at the very least it's to provide a second pair of eyes on a presentation. I'm interested in being involved in a workshop to pass along some of the advice that I've heard and to play a similar role in the development of talks and encouragement of new speakers that my mentors have played in my career.
About Mars: Mars Jullian is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Netflix working on the Acquisitions UI team. As part of the AUI team, she works to constantly improve the nonmember and account signup experience. Mars became a UI Engineer since it lies at the intersection between design and problem-solving. She is passionate about UX that is born out of the empathy for the user and writing extensible code. Mars started speaking at meetups and conferences two years ago, and spoke at her first international conference late last year.
Reason for being involved in workshop: Very passionate about having more diverse speakers on stage at conferences! We're working towards this with Women Talk Design and love supporting other organizations and events who are furthering that mission!

About Sarah: Restaurant manager turned software engineer. Passionate theater-goer and hardcore Disney nerd.
Reason for being involved in workshop: I would love to increase diversity in tech by making people in minorities more visible. Helping them speaking at conferences is a great step on that direction.
About Miriam: Miriam has over 10 years of experience in scalable, high performance, high concurrency, and high availability systems. She is a Staff Engineer at AdRoll in San Francisco, designing critical parts of their Real-Time Bidding infrastructure. Prior to AdRoll, she provided Erlang specialized consultancy and earned her M.S. in Computer Science from La Coruña University in Spain.
