Reason for being involved in workshop: I want to encourage new voices to to give their first conference talk.
About Will: Will is a frontend developer, meetup organizer, and conference speaker. He is working on furthering CFP outreach through FrontendCFP.
Reason for being involved in workshop: I love speaking and want to pass along my passion to others in the local community.
About Morgan: I'm a Colorado native and an avid front end engineer, UXer, runner, whiskey drinker, and dog owner.
Reason for being involved in workshop: Tech speaking has been an integral part of building my career. In 2017, I had 12 public speaking engagements, from a conference to meetups to bootcamp classrooms. It is a great way to connect with people who are also active in your community. I also chose public speaking as a way to be representative of women in the tech industry, because we are here, and we have interesting things to say.
About Valerie: Valerie Kraucunas is a Cofounder and Software Engineer at Gibsunas Consulting. She is a bootcamp grad with a penchant for accessibility, testing, and good communication. She has worked in the higher education, healthcare, cannabis tech, and now software consulting spaces. In her spare time, she likes to spend time hanging out with her partner and pets, listening to audio books, and engaging in her many creative hobbies.
Reason for being involved in workshop: I'd love to encourage more people to get into dev careers. Learning to code is such an empowering experience and I enjoy sharing that with anyone who is passionate about learning. I'd also like to look around in a few years and not notice how many women or POC are in the room, because diversity has become the norm in the tech world.
About Elana: I am a Software Developer, UX Designer, and an Educator. I like creating front-end applications, as well as writing APIs. I love learning and teaching.
Reason for being involved in workshop: Public speaking can be so nerve-wracking! I'm mentoring participants in this workshop to help more people feel empowered and confident sharing their expertise in tech.
About Matilda: Matilda enjoys using technology to help people connect and tell their stories with a creative splash. She designs user experiences and develops websites for a local AR/VR company.
Reason for being involved in workshop: I've read and written more than my fair share of proposals and would like to help out others.
About Steve: Principal engineer at SendGrid; organizer of DinosaurJS
