Reason for being involved in workshop: If few years ago someone have told me that in a year or two I will be speaking at conferences in front of hundreds of developers, I would have probably laughed them in the face (and would have been utterly terrified of the thought). Since then, I've learned a lot and realized everyone could (and should!) try sharing what they know and do, so I've been trying to do whatever I could to facilitate that as a mentor, conference organizer and community manager with Mozilla and various online communities.
About Istvan: Digital Nomad, Frontend Trainer & Consultant, Conference Speaker & Organizer, Mozilla TechSpeaker & TS duck-herder at Mozilla DevRel
Reason for being involved in workshop: I believe that we all benefit from a diversity of voices speaking at technical conferences and events. This project is closely aligned with the work I do with Mozilla Tech Speakers, and the goal of the program to empower more people to speak to more audiences about open web technologies. I like to help people with wordsmithing and self-expression.
About Havi: Content wrangler, cat herder and lover of gardens. I manage the Mozilla Hacks blog, and I co-founded Mozilla Tech Speakers program.
Reason for being involved in workshop: When I submitted my first CFP, I had no idea what to expect. When I got invited to do my first conference talk, I had no idea what to expect. Thanks to all the amazing people along the road, I managed to keep my nerves under control and get better at speaking. It is only fair I return the favour to anybody interested in getting into public speaking!
About Sam: Software engineer at madewithlove, Fronteers Belgium organizer, Conference speaker and cat lover.
