Reason for being involved in workshop: I am one of the only people who ever said they enjoy public speaking. I love public speaking! I also see how FEW femmes, trans folks, people of color, you name it are getting speaking gigs. It's a travesty! It's not from the lack of enthusiastic folks -- I want to empower the next generation of public speakers.
About Lina: Lina Mamut (they/them) is a Senior Product Manager, currently focusing on building beautiful and intuitive mobile products at Ahold Delhaize, based in Chicago. They previously were the head of Product at bowmo, an B2B SaaS startup, guiding the product team from 3 employees to over 50 before a successful exit. Outside of Product, Lina is extremely passionate about empowering femmes and non-binary folks in tech through workshops on embracing authenticity, upping those negotiation skills, battling imposter syndrome and so much more. They lead a Women and Nonbinary folks in Tech group at work, and built the group up from 2 members to over 200 in 6 months. Outside of their professional life, they have a wonderful puppy, Potato, and sweet cat, Dulce, at home, and love to explore new cuisines, backcountry snowboard, collect tattoos and work with local grassroots organizing.
