About Ali: Director of Developer Relations at Mozilla
Reason for being involved in workshop: To share my knowledge in order to increase the submissions of people of color as speakers at tech conferences
About Allison: As Director of Event Content, Allison manages the development of the content hosted at VMware’s annual global user conferences. A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, Allison brings 20+ years in the conference content production arena to VMware. In her spare time, Allison enjoys going to the gym, spending time with loved ones, and experiencing God.
Reason for being involved in workshop: Mentoring & sharing my experiences speaking at conferences internationally with some global perspective!
About Tomomi: Tomomi Imura (a.k.a @girlie_mac) is an avid open web and technology advocate, who is currently working at Slack in San Francisco to help developers to build bots with the APIs, as well as taking an advisory role at Code Chrysalis in Tokyo.
Reason for being involved in workshop: When I started speaking, I found that it opened up a world of opportunities for me. I was inspired by so many other diverse speakers to start - I never would have without their help. Now I want to give time back, continue the chain of inspiration, and push new diverse voices into the spotlight :)
About Jennifer: Jennifer Wong is a self-taught software engineer. She spends her days making the web a prettier and more user-friendly place. She has written for Net Magazine and Adobe, and had projects covered by Mashable, Engadget, Gizmodo, and more. Jenn is an avid conference and Mozilla Tech speaker.
