Reason for being involved in workshop: Increase presentation of underrepresented groups. Encourage people to share their story with the world.
Reason for being involved in workshop: I'm keen to see more diverse voices speaking in the Brisbane tech community and love the idea of workshops to help.
Reason for being involved in workshop: Role models are important for most people to help them realize their ambitions and dreams. Speakers are often perceived as role models and there are far too few non-white male speakers in tech. Let's change that together.
About Juliette: Juliette Reinders Folmer is an opinionated, passionate busy-body with a prolific portfolio of contributions to various high profile open source projects over the years. Juliette regularly speaks at conferences and is always happy to discuss how we can all contribute to changing both the dev-culture as well as our code, to be _better_.
Reason for being involved in workshop: I am by no means an expert in public speaking, but I'd love to support people to take the courage of doing the first step, and help them making sure their message is more powerful and effective.
About Sara: Sara is backend software engineer in DAZN, a global platform that streams sport events. She contributes to the design, server-side development, deployment and monitoring of micro-services that power part of DAZN core functional logic and operations in the acquisition and retention domain. In her free time, she is also Director of Tech of S#E, a non-profit foundation based in Amsterdam that fosters diversity & inclusion in tech. She spends way too much time on Reddit.
Reason for being involved in workshop: I want to see a more diverse group of people at tech events, and want to help everyone with the opportunity to do so. Workshops are a great way to help.
