Call For Proposals (CFP)
Events or conferences looking for speakers start a process called "Call for Proposals". This is an invitation for anyone interested in taking part to submit their idea for a talk or workshop. Proposals are an outline of what you'd like to talk about and helps organisers choose talks for their events.
global diversity CFP day is here to help you craft that proposal and reduce any worry you may have when submitting.
Announcement:
Global Diversity CFP Day partners with QueerJS & VueVixens
Since the 2019 event we have been keen to give our attendees a clear continuation path with known, trusted groups for attendees to give a talk.
Today we are incredibly excited to announce two super-powered, front end, distributed events that are here to support you in taking that next step by providing an opportunity to giving a talk in a safe, positive, encouraging environment.
QueerJS and Vue Vixens will be running a number of meetups in March through May 2020 where you can apply to give a talk.
If there currently is not a QueerJS or Vue Vixens chapter in your area why not organise your own?
To organise a QueerJS event, reach out to the core team by DM'ing them on twitter.
To become a chapter lead for Vue Vixens, reach out to Diana Rodriguez on Slack.
Good luck with your next steps, and remember we love hearing how your journey is progressing. Please reach out on twitter to let us know how you are getting on.

Saturday, January 18th 2020
On Saturday, January 18th 2020 we will host the third edition of Global Diversity CFP Day following the success of the 2019 event where 81 workshops took place! There will be numerous workshops hosted around the globe encouraging and advising newbie speakers to put together your very first talk proposal and share your own individual perspective on any subject of interest to people in tech.
Each workshop will have experienced speakers on hand to:
- give you a warm, inclusive welcome in a safe space (check out our Code of Conduct which all participants must adhere to)
- mentor you with your proposal
- provide speaking advice
- and share their enthusiasm to get you to the stage!
Subject Matter
These workshops have no specific language, framework or process as a focus. Even if your talk isn’t even related to tech we want to hear from you too! In short, if there is something that you want to shout to the world we're here to help you get there regardless of the boundaries of technology or communities.Workshops
